Northumbrian Pipers’ Society Events newsmail – March 2015

Welcome!

There is to be a piping session at The Ship, Low Newton by the Sea (below) Northumberland NE66 3El on 15th March from 4pm to 6.30pm.  Playing in pipers’ F but all instruments welcome. Space limited, so please let Andrew Davison know if you are coming at andrew.davison@tiscali.co.uk.  If you don’t yet know the Ship, you won’t regret discovering one of Northumberland’s gems!

Volunteer pipers and groups are in demand, to entertain Northumberland’s visitors and tourists,

and of course to publicise the pipes – their music, history and tradition.

Please let us know if you would like to publicise opportunities available in other areas.

We’ve had  requests for pipers to play for visitors at Woodhorn Archives, Ashington NE63 9YF,  If you are interested, please contact Danielle Burn at dburn@woodhorn.org.uk.

Players are also welcome at the Chantry Bagpipe Museum in Morpeth NE61 1JP.  Please contact Anne Moore on amoore@woodhorn.org.uk or 01670 624490.
