Electronic pipes

Postby JonThePipes » Fri Feb 10, 2017 2:32 pm

Does anyone have experience of playing electronic pipes, of any variety, but that replicate NSP?

I've tried to get specific information from several manufacturers about whether they have an option so that only closed fingering works, and how closely the electronic version matches the real thing. I've had a range if responses, from nothing, to "read the manual", to "I've never had any complaints". But haven't been able to get a direct answer to my question

Any help or advice would be welcome

Hi Jon
I know that there was a maker who made excellent electronic northumbrian smallpipes I have a friend who has a set and I will ask him more about them.j I also remember that they were extreemly hard to get as the maker made few of them and was reluctant to take orders
