For the October Tune of the Month play a hornpipe, or two, of your choosing. This broad catagory should have something for everyone.
Please post links to your uploads in this thread and on the NSP news group.
Of course, your suggestions are always welcome. The goal is to make this as open and enjoyable as possible, in other words, to share a good tune.

I think these two cracking tunes deserve to be played a bit more widely. The playing is not the best but it shows the tunes in a reasonable light. The other nice thing is that I've spent a couple of weeks getting Jimmy Little's pipes playing again after 18 years languishing in their box. This set now has a new chanter reed and three re-tongued drone reeds. They've only been playing for 3 days but have huge potential tonally. Go to:

Hey, I have just got this book, I would be most interested in hearing how the tunes should sound. Thanks for the first six :)

Yesterday at the Pacific Northwest Northumbrian smallpipers' monthly session Peter Dyson of Bellingham, Washington, and Michael Korchonnoff of Graham very kindly allowed me to record them on my Flip camera. Two performances here, one a duet and the other a solo.

Finally got around to making a video of a three triple hornpipes played on a SSP, chanter made by Mike Sharp of California, drones by Addison of Shropshire. The drones are from the '80s and still have the original brass body, cane tongue tenor drone reeds.
