Long shot - pipers down south?

Postby ExiledNorthumbrian » Fri Jan 04, 2013 10:14 pm

Does anyone know of any pipes/folk bands down in Gloucestershire or near. I was thinking of having a piper for my wedding as a reminder of home :D but I can't find anyone down here that plays.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave,
I don't know any Northumbrian pipers around here in Gloucestershire besides myself, and I am not up to playing at wedding standard. however, there are loads of excellent local folk musicians and bands here. check out the glosfolk website for some contact details, or find musicians via the local morris dancing groups.

I missed your wedding Dave but as to pipers "down South".
I'm in South Australia. It doesn't get a lot Southerer (?) without a dog sled.
