April's Tune of the Month: Wee Tunes

Postby Dally » Mon Apr 01, 2013 6:56 am

Having lost my clever socks I will spare you an April Fool's joke. Public funding of my research into spurring long distance propinquity between pipers, likewise, has dried up since the sequester. So, it was while having a lesson with Ella after the Easter Egg Hunt that I realized we should celebrate the wee tunes that litter our tune books like well worn toys in a child's bedroom. This month's "Tune of the Month" is "wee tunes," as many or as few as you wish, in a medley or not, new and old, the piper's choice.

Two offerings this month, just because the recording seemed to go easily this time around. Or maybe it was the gin.
Ardent defenders of the Tradition(s) may not think these appropriate tunes for the smallpipes. I thought about it for a while, then decided to go ahead. Or maybe it was the gin.
It's not about perfection, it's about participation.
