a value please ?

Postby Alan0315 » Thu Oct 22, 2015 10:31 pm

My father has a set of David Burleigh Northumbrian Pipes , he purchased them from David in December 2005.

They have never been used and have been in their box since then .

He would like to sell them and has asked me to find a value for them.

They are 7 keys on chanter , imitation ivory, veneered walnut wood with a shepherds tartan bag cover.

if anyone can give me any idea of their value i would really appreciate it

many thanks and kind regards

Hi Serena - the range is quite large and it very much depends on how well set up they are to play. There is also some variability in the underlying quality of these instruments

Prices range from 400 - 750. I saw one this week that went at 500 and that was fair value given the reeding & fettling required (had been sat in a box since 2003)

Whereabouts are you (country / county)?
