This polka was reputedly brought to Northumberland by Captain Nicholson of Haydon Bridge, who had lived and worked in Constantinople;
but the tune is not the least bit Turkish. If the story is half true, he must have learned it on his way back home, somewhere in Central Europe.
There may be some hope of tracking down such a polka, though there were a lot of these around by the late 19th century.
Quite possibly it has been reinvented quite drastically though, so spotting the match will be difficult.
