Northumbrian Pipes are not manufactured on an industrial basis as with many other instruments.  They are made by a small number of gifted individuals in small workshops. Individual makers have their own particular styles, though many are influenced by historical makers and models.

The NPS currently has a selection of materials for making pipes, including full sets of mostly pre-drilled African Blackwood. Please contact the secretary for further details.
