Exciting news – the Northumberland County Show is going to include a Northumbrian Piping Tent for the first time this year!!
The Northumberland County Show is the largest agricultural show in the region.
There will be a session, a try the pipes opportunity and brand new piping competitions. https://northcountyshow.co.uk/
Entry to the Show will be free for those who play in the sessions and/or the competitions provided they let us know in advance that they are coming.

Northumbrian Pipers Competition. Judge Kathryn Tickell
This brand new competition for the show holds particular significance as it is held in loving memory of the esteemed Northumbrian piper, Dave Shaw, from Craghead, who sadly passed away last year. Dave’s family have kindly donated a trophy in his memory to the Best Young Piper.
The Pipers competition will be kindly organised with the generous support of Andrew Davison and his team of helpers. We have 5 classes – Beginners, Intermediate, Open, Duet & Best Young Piper.

During the day we hope to be holding some performance sessions in the marquee. The marquee will be open to the general public to come in and enjoy the music. Plenty of seating will be provided within a friendly and entertaining environment.
