The festival offers concerts, sessions, ceilidhs, a parade, storytelling, an outdoor stage and competitions. On Saturday there are several items of special interest to Northumbrian Pipers Society members and players:

A “try the pipes” opportunity from 2.30-3.30pm in the URC
Pop in and have a go on the Northumbrian pipes. – no experience required and all ages welcome!

10-11am Northumbrian Pipes Workshop in the Catholic Church

Four piping competitions ( from 11.30 Sat in the Catholic Church)
     Northumbrian Smallpipes Solo (Novice, Intermediate and Open)
     Northumbrian Smallpipes New Tune
     Piping Pairs
     Lowland Pipes Solo

Northumbrian Tunes Session 12-2pm | Turks Head Restaurant
Northumbrian Piping Session 2-4pm | Turks Head Restaurant
