Piping at the Ovingham Goose Fair

There has been a long standing tradition of Northumbrian Piping at Ovingham Goose Fair, and the organisers are looking forward to the return of the pipers. So we hope lots of Northumbrian pipers will turn up with our pipes!
The organisers have asked us once again to lead the procession. The event starts officia
lly at 12.00 but please arrive earlier if you are taking part in the procession. This year it will be starting in Ovingham Community Orchard which is just around the corner from the village green. It would be ideal if any pipers who can be in the procession could congegrate there from 11.20am – 11:30am as the procession starts at 11:45am.

The event is organised by the Ovingham reading room and will have a procession, dancers, a brass band, food and fun for all.
