The Sage Pipers

We organise group lessons and practice sessions at the Glasshouse, Gateshead. The lessons are at beginner to intermediate level, and would also suit people who want to get back into playing after putting the pipes aside for a while. Our regular teacher(s) understand our needs very well, and have really boosted our confidence. We also have a guest teacher from time to time, previous guest teachers have included Chris Ormston and Andy May. Lessons and practices are in term time on Thursdays at 7pm for  1½  hours.

Contact Sagepipers@btinternet.com for more information.

PS. We play 7 key Northumbrian Smallpipes in “Piper’s F”.  If you are an absolute beginner we recommend that you first do a course elsewhere to get started – eg 1 to 1 lessons, or the 10 week course at Side by Side Arts.
